I am available to teach the following – or custom-made, specific to your needs – workshops at your studio, retreat center or spa. Please contact me for details.
Yin Fascial Yoga
Yin yoga is a practice of long-held, deeply relaxing “stretching” poses that unblock the Nadis and the “meridians” (energy pathways of the body), restoring youthful joint mobility as well as gathering Prana, the life force.
Most people are familiar with Yang yoga, which focuses on the muscles or yang tissues of the body. Yin yoga targets the more interior, supportive structures called the fascia or “The Fuzz”. Yin is as vital as a yang yoga practice, and is designed to stretch and revitalize the deeper connective tissue in every part of the body – helping us to find balance in our physical and emotional bodies. It is like a “needle-less” form of acupuncture that leaves you feeling calm and energized at the same time.
Combined with deep, focused breathing, the asanas encourage us to tune in and listen to our body and surrender to our feelings rather than trying to push them down or control them. Poses are held for up to ten minutes, liberating the body’s chronic holding patterns and relieving pain, while helping you to recapture some of the ease and freedom of movement you used to have as a child. As one of the most potent ways to cultivate the body’s subtle energy, Yin enables us to heal ourselves, remove blockages, prevent injury and find a deep sense of peace in the body, mind and spirit.
In this workshop, you will learn self-myofascial release techniques – using props such as tennis balls and blocks – during your Yin yoga practice.
Time: 3 or 6 hours
This workshop is on offer in Düsseldorf and Verona, in September 2014.

This is an inspirational practice of giving and receiving, a practice where you are inspired and inspire others, a practice of trust and kindness whilst learning to embrace the unknown, as we face it in life. Release fears, increase mental and physical flexibility and do all of this with a big sense of adventure and an open heart.
This workshop will focus on a more gentle and introductory approach to the partner practice, and includes:
- a brief discussion on partner yoga and its benefits
- Seated postures
- Standing postures
- Acrobatic flying Yoga.
This session is open to all levels.
Time: 2 workshops, each lasting 3 hours (two evenings or mornings)

- Why do we do adjust in the first place?
- What makes a good adjustment?
- Understanding the energy lines in the poses
- Learn to see the adjustment first; does the body/breath need length or space?
- Learn to use a variety of tools (body parts) that you have available
- Use your own weight
- Good body mechanics to keep you safe
- Build confidence through different exercises and practices
- Play with the balance between the student working and you working
Time: 2 workshops, each 3 hours in length– 2 evenings or 2 mornings
